FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) is celebrating and reflecting on its accomplishments in 2021. The metropolis company launched information it compiled from the year on Wednesday.
FWACC continued to increase its assist program to enhance the standard of life for residents and pets within the Fort Wayne group. In January, a break up between the volunteer and foster coordinator place occurred, creating two completely different positions. This allowed the foster coordinator together with the foster crew to focus solely on the foster program and develop it.
The foster program expanded by 125 extra foster houses and saved 1,547 animals; the earlier record was 1,200 in 2020. The shelter was capable of save 180 neonatal kittens due to the group.
