Animal rights activists are pushing to have the animals removed from Johnson Park Zoo in Piscataway. They say that the animals had been left stranded in rising floodwater and caught of their enclosures throughout Ida.

The zoo is positioned close to the Raritan River, which took on document rainfall and spilled over its banks through the storm.
