BONNER SPRINGS, Kan., October 19, 2021–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Three males who contributed to advancing American agriculture – former Sen. Pat Roberts, late horticulturist Fabián García and late farmer activist Elmo Mahoney – can be inducted into the Agricultural Hall of Fame Oct. 23, on the National Agricultural Center in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Giving remarks can be Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who signed the 1960 constitution establishing the Agricultural Hall of Fame. Delayed by COVID, the Hall of Fame is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary this yr.

The inductees be part of George Washington Carver, John Deere, Willie Nelson and different notables, with contributions together with:

Former Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts supported America’s agricultural producers and development of bioscience, biotechnology and biosecurity. As director of the New Mexico Agricultural Experiment Station in 1914, he was the primary Hispanic to lead a land-grant agricultural analysis station. He produced the primary dependable chile pod and launched the Grano onion breed.
