Agriculture minister off to Netherlands, UK on 10-day visit

The delegation will work to enhance export of agricultural merchandise to the European market

A 15-member delegation led by Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque is ready to depart Dhaka for the Netherlands on an official visit to enhance exports of agricultural merchandise within the European market on Monday.

Later, the delegation staff, comprising authorities officers and prime officers of personal firms, will visit the UK on November 13.

The delegation is scheduled to return to the nation on November 18.

During the visit, they are going to maintain discussions with heads of assorted authorities departments and businesses in addition to main non-public companies. 

At the identical time, the minister will visit agricultural trade companies, analysis centres, accreditation labs, post-collection expertise, and many others. and trade experiences to enhance the processing of agricultural merchandise within the nation.

The delegation consists of officers of the ministry in addition to representatives of the nation’s main agricultural exporters and meals processing firms. 

They are Kazi Inam Ahmed, director of Gemcon Group; Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman and chief govt officer (CEO) of Pran RFL Group; FH Ansari, managing director and CEO of ACI Agro Link; Parvez Saiful Islam, chief working officer of Square Food and Beverage; Md Mostafa Kamal, chairman of Meghna Group of Industries; Nurul Islam, director, Globepack Foods and Beverages (UK) Ltd; and Jahangir Hossain, president of Bangladesh Fruits, Vegetable and Allied Products Exporters Association.
