NASHVILLE — With the Dec. 3 deadline lower than two months away, tnAchieves wants an extra 5,900 volunteer mentors throughout the state to assist TN Promise candidates from the Class of 2022.
Sullivan County wants 158 mentors to fulfill its purpose of 218, whereas Hawkins County wants 50 mentors to fulfill its purpose of 77.
TN Promise, in partnership with tnAchieves, permits each graduating highschool senior the chance to attend a neighborhood or technical school tuition-free with mentor assist.
Mentors spend one hour a month aiding college students as they transition from highschool to school. In 2022, mentors can have the selection to serve their college students both nearly or in individual relying on the mentor’s desire.
