Animal hospital urges state to look after wildlife | Ireland

Ireland’s solely wild animal hospital, which is due to shut subsequent week, has mentioned there is no such thing as a level in declaring a local weather emergency whereas ignoring the wants of native wildlife.

The Wildlife Rehabilitation & Teaching Hospital in Co Meath has handled greater than 2,500 animals since February, together with foxes, birds, and otters. It mentioned the animals are largely injured due to human exercise — street accidents, poisoning, shootings, habitat destruction, and litter.
