Annie’s Project to empower women in agriculture



CARTHAGE, Ill (WGEM) – Women throughout the Tri-States have an opportunity to develop their agricultural information beginning in February in Hancock County.

Annie’s Project is a six week dialogue based mostly course that brings women and native consultants in from throughout the area to discuss manufacturing, funds, advertising and extra.

The venture relies on Annette Kohlagen Fleck who grew up in Northern Illinois in the early 1900′s and labored to assist her farmer husband whereas taking up academic tasks on her personal.

Classes in the Tri-States are being led by the University of Illinois extension workplace, who rotates the lessons every year via the completely different counties in the area.

The lessons might be held each Thursday between February third and March tenth on the upstairs convention space in Marine Bank in Carthage. The lessons might be held in the evenings (from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) with gentle meals supplied.
