Bulgaria hikes natural gas price by 30.4%

SOFIA, Jan 1 (Reuters) – Bulgaria’s vitality regulator stated on Saturday it has authorised a 30.4% improve of the wholesale natural gas price for this month, following a request by Bulgargaz, the Balkan nation’s major gas supplier and public provider.

Natural gas costs have soared in Europe prior to now 12 months, including to inflationary stress and threatening to dent client confidence.

The regulator set the January gas price at 133.4 levs ($77.60) per MWh earlier than prices for transport and taxes from 102.3 levs in December.
