Children’s Nature Playscape construction begins in downtown Kalamazoo

Funds are secured, supplies are being ordered and construction is scheduled to start on the Children’s Nature Playscape on Bronson Park, a brand new playground that ultimately will likely be one of many largest pure playscapes in an city core.

The 130-foot sq. greenspace at 302 Academy Street, slated to open subsequent summer time, is a nature-inspired house that can give children rocks and bushes to climb, water to splash in, and logs to traverse — proper in downtown Kalamazoo.

“We are planning for a soft opening June 1,” says Jody Brylinsky, Children’s Nature Playscape on Bronson Park Steering Committee chair. Children and households will likely be welcomed to the positioning with some areas but to be developed.
