BEIJING, Dec 31 (Reuters) – China’s sow herd at the tip of November was 4.7% larger than the earlier year at 42.96 million heads, the agriculture ministry stated late on Thursday.

The dimension of the herd was down 1.2% from the earlier month, in response to the newest knowledge launched on the web site of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

China has been rebuilding its pig herd after the lethal African swine fever illness, first detected in 2018 within the nation, slashed its pig manufacturing.
