Conservation Foundation to host two Nature Explorers events for kids


OSPREY — The Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast is planning two Nature Explorers events in December for youngsters age 5-10.

Audubon will maintain a Christmas Bird Count for kids on Dec. 11 from Sep 11 a.m. on the Celery Fields, positioned at 6893 Palmer Blvd, Sarasota, and on Dec. 18 from Sep 11 a.m. at Felts Audubon Preserve, positioned at 4600 twenty fourth Ave. E., Palmetto.

The nationwide Christmas Bird Count takes place every year from Dec. 14 to Jan. 5. The Conservation Foundation is happy to introduce youngsters to this partaking citizen science custom. Participants will study extra concerning the habitats that native lands present to varied hen species, then use their powers of statement to assist scientists throughout the nation perceive the migratory patterns of various birds.
