The University of Saint Mary will host Sister Mary Angela Shaughnessy, a nationwide skilled on Catholic faculty education and the regulation, for a Current Legal Issues in Catholic Education dialogue.
The occasion is scheduled from Sept. 11:30 a.m. May 9 within the Keleher Learning Commons on campus. The dialogue is open to directors within the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph and any Catholic establishments of upper education within the Kansas City space.

Sister Shaughnessy is a Sister of Charity of Nazareth. She has served in education in practically each capability – trainer, principal, professor, graduate faculty dean and college vp. She holds a PhD in academic administration and a Juris Doctorate. She is the founding director of the Education Law Symposium, creator of greater than 30 texts and recipient of quite a few awards.
Sister Shaughnessy can also be educating a summer season course on academic coverage, ethics and regulation. The course is open to anybody with a grasp’s diploma, and it runs from May 10 to July 1. Most class periods will likely be held through Zoom, however there will likely be two in-person conferences on May 10 and June 14 on the USM Overland Park Campus.
