ROCK CREEK — Night creatures, birds and bugs will probably be featured at two upcoming programs on the Dr. James K. Bissell Nature Center.
The first program, slated for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 21, will spotlight nocturnal animals on the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center. Families are welcome as this system is geared for preschool to 3rd grade college students, who have to be accompanied by an grownup.
Come June 11, birds, bugs and a botany hike will probably be held from 10 a.m. to midday, led by Judy Semroc, a discipline biologist and naturalist. The hike is restricted to the primary 20 individuals who join.

The Dr. James K. Bissell Nature Center opened in October 2017, named in honor of the the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s curator of botany and director of pure areas, Dr. Jim Bissell.
The nature heart is positioned on the Morgan Swamp Preserve on the Grand River conservation campus, and options reveals depicting the pure historical past of the two,000 acre swamp protect and surrounding Grand River space.
Visitors will discover maps, shows and reveals that present a greater understanding of the kinds of vegetation and animals discovered within the space.
The nature heart, 3973 Callender Road, Rock Creek, is open 1-5 p.m. weekends May via October for 2022.
