Three males and a girl have been detained Wednesday afternoon after Corpus Christi police and Animal Care Services eliminated 36 animals from a house.
Around 2:40 p.m., police have been referred to as to the 2800 block of Niagara (*30*). Upon arrival, officers discovered 35 canines and a cat inside.
Joel Skidmore, program supervisor for Animal Care Services, stated the division acquired an help name from police who have been making an attempt to repossess the property and found the animals.
The animals didn’t have meals or water and have been residing in poor situation. None of the animals have been deceased.
“Right now there’s a variety of animal cruelty issues that we’ve got,” Skidmore stated. “There are animals which might be residing in squalor circumstances, in shut proximity to their feces and urine, and there is animals which have unaddressed medical circumstances, corresponding to hair loss, open wounds, open sores, and all that must be addressed.”
Because Animal Care Services is housing many animals, Skidmore requested for the group’s assist.
