Local nonprofit Gracie’s Project will host its Lost Paws Memorial 5k and 1 Mile run/stroll in remembrance of the animals that they’ve misplaced. The run will likely be held Saturday at Stephen F. Austin Park. The 5K will start at 8 a.m., and the mile run/stroll will start at 8:05 a.m.
All proceeds from the race will go to profit Gracie’s Project. The nonprofit is run by a group of volunteers who present help in addition to foster the stray pets and people at risk of being euthanized within the Amarillo group. Gracie’s Project offers these animals with spay/neuter companies, pictures, vet care, housing, and different vital necessities till the animals are rehabilitated and adopted by a eternally household.
“We are doing this in honor of the canines that we have misplaced over the previous couple of years.
