Guilford animal rescuer sues PZC over permit denial

Last November, a neighbor emailed the city’s zoning enforcement officer and well being director, alleging Demond’s property introduced flies, rats, odor and different points. Those points have been taken care of, in keeping with the city.

In January, Demond obtained a stop and desist order from a city zoning enforcement officer, ordering her to cease working the rescue from her property 311 Old Whitfield St., close to the Guilford practice station. She appealed the order in February and was given a particular permit software, which Demond submitted in April.
