The primaries for governor
U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist has won the Democratic nomination for governor in Florida, placing him in place to problem Gov. Ron DeSantis this fall.
In choosing Crist, Florida Democrats sided with a candidate backed by many within the get together’s institution who seen him because the most secure selection. The 66-year-old Crist defeated Nikki Fried, the state agriculture commissioner.
DeSantis, the Republican incumbent, didn’t face a main challenger.
Republican incumbent Ashley Moody didn’t face a main challenger. As of Thursday, she had almost $2.6 million in marketing campaign contributions, of which she had spent about $157,000.
Commissioner of Agriculture
Holt has raised over $34,000 and spent about $29,000, in accordance with marketing campaign finance experiences. Rockwell has outpaced him, elevating $54,000 and spending $30,000.
