NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee House of Representatives plans to vote on a bill Wednesday relating to the regulation of education supplies.

Introduced by House Speaker Cameron Sexton, HB 2666 is about to change what supplies can be allowed in colleges due to the idea that particular supplies shouldn’t be obtainable for college students due to inappropriate content material.

Officials clarified that if the bill passes, the Commission would then concern every library the accepted listing of academic supplies, together with books, that could be bought by libraries operated by a public college or a public constitution college.

If a guide shouldn’t be discovered on the listing, it won’t be situated inside a library operated by a public college or public constitution college. The bill added that the listing should point out the appropriate age and maturity stage of scholars who entry the academic supplies.

The House will vote on this bill Wednesday.
