Minnesota Agriculture Department hopes to get $10M in federal dollars


Petersen advised KSTP the state of Minnesota would really like to get $10-million of that cash to assist increase small to mid-sized meat processing vegetation and help them in hiring extra employees and offering schooling to recruit folks to grow to be educated butchers.

“It will assist these smaller vegetation to increase and, to put it bluntly, slaughter extra cattle, pigs and put extra animals via the method,” stated Petersen.  “Using American Rescue Plan dollars for that is very acceptable as a result of what we’re doing is we’re constructing resiliency inside our meals provide.”
