Mondelez Adds Former U.N. Ambassador for Food and Agriculture Cousin to Board

Mondelez International Inc. mentioned Monday that agriculture knowledgeable Ertharin Cousin has joined its board because the snack maker appears to be like to advance its inexperienced initiatives.

Ms. Cousin is the previous government director of the United Nations World Food Program and was an envoy to the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Agencies throughout former President Barack Obama’s administration.

“Her knowledgeable perspective on meals coverage and sustainability points will carry necessary insights and worth to our board and crew as we proceed advancing our technique and ESG priorities as a worldwide snacking chief,” Mondelez Chairman and Chief Executive Dirk Van de Put mentioned in ready remarks.

Ms. Cousin, who’s the founder, president and chief government of the Food Systems of the Future Institute, can also be on the board of Bayer AG.

Her addition to Mondelez expands the board to 13 members.

Last month, the corporate mentioned it was committing to a web zero emissions goal by 2050.
