New director selected for South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association | Agriculture


The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association has employed Taya Runyan to function their subsequent government director. Runyan will start within the new function on Oct. 1.

SDCA represents cattlemen and people who’re a part of the South Dakota beef neighborhood.

“We are thrilled to welcome Taya as our new executive director,” SDCA President Eric Jennings mentioned in a information launch. “We had several great candidates for the position, but Taya stood out as someone whose skill set offers a lot to SDCA and will fit in well with the cattlemen of South Dakota. Runyan, a Pierre native, has been in public service for greater than a decade and most just lately served as basic counsel and director of agricultural companies for the South Dakota Department of Agriculture.

Runyan will succeed Jodie Hickman Anderson who introduced this spring that she was stepping down after main the SDCA for greater than 16 years.
