Paulding, OH: Community connections are key to the OSU Extension Office. One of the volunteer applications operated by way of OSU Extension is the Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) program. Recently, the Paulding County Master Gardener Volunteers bought benches for the Black Swamp Nature Center porch utilizing funds earned on the annual plant sale. The Education Specialist, Anna Gurney, for the Paulding County Soil and Water Conservation District accepted the donation.
Anna stated, “We are so grateful to the Master Gardeners for the donation of two resin benches for the Black Swamp Nature Center porch. These benches will make a wonderful addition, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the serene setting of the Nature Center.”
Community members serious about gardening are welcome to attend a gardening fundamentals seminar on Thursday, April twenty eighth from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on the Paulding County Extension Building. This seminar known as “How does your Garden Grow,” is an introductory class to the spring gardening season. There isn’t any value to attend the category however an RSVP by Wednesday, April twenty seventh at midday is appreciated. The class can be held within the giant corridor on the Extension Office. Additionally, the MGVs wil host their annual plant sale, Friday, May 13 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 14, 8:00 a.m. midday (or when offered out) on the Paulding County Fairgrounds. The plant sale will provide perennials, succulents, annual flowers, greens, bushes, shrubs, houseplants, herbs, and extra. Come early for the very best choice. The proceeds from the sale are invested in the neighborhood by means of tasks and donations such because the benches for the Black Swamp Nature Center. Happy Gardening!
