On Tuesday, October 5, Pope Francis will take part in a gathering within the Vatican with representatives of religions devoted to the theme of education. The occasion coincides with World Teachers’ Day promoted by UNESCO.
The assembly was introduced yesterday by the Congregation for Catholic Education and the Committee for the Global Compact on Education, that are organizing the assembly within the Sala Clementina of the Apostolic Palace. The theme will probably be “Religions and Education: in the direction of a Global Compact on Education”. For the primary time, religious leaders will meet to share their dedication to education, based mostly on the next challenges: placing the individual on the middle of each instructional course of; investing the very best energies in high quality education for all; forming people who find themselves keen to serve the group.
