Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday allotted portfolios to the 5 newly inducted ministers and rejigged the portfolios of some others, a day after the primary Cabinet growth of his over three-month-old authorities.
Among the newly inducted ministers, Chetan Singh Jouramajra has bought the important thing Health and Family Welfare Department whereas Aman Arora has been given Housing and Urban Development, Information and Public Relations and New and Renewable Energy Sources.
Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar will deal with Local Government, Parliamentary Affairs, Land Conservation and Water and Administrative Reforms. Anmol Gagan Maan has been allotted Tourism and Cultural Affairs whereas Fauja Singh would be the minister for Freedom Fighters, Defence Services Welfare, Food Processing and Horticulture.
After Health Minister Dr Vijay Singla was sacked from the Cabinet over graft prices, the division was dealt with by the CM himself.
In one other vital improvement, Chief Minister Mann divested Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer of the important thing Education portfolio and handed it over to Harjot Bains, who additionally retains Mines and Geology and Jails. Hayer continues to carry Sports and Youth Affairs and Higher Education.
