Tennessee State Parks are hosting guided “First Day Hikes” on January 1st to ring in the new 12 months. Officials say Tennesseans are invited to their native state park to get pleasure from a guided hike for all ages and expertise ranges. Organizers say, “This is an opportunity to begin a New Year’s resolution for good health, continue an ongoing commitment to hiking, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature in the state parks.”
All hikes occur on January 1st, with the exception of David Crockett Birthplace, which can host a stargazing hike on December thirty first at 8 PM. Buffalo Mountain and Willow Springs Parks are hosting hikes, as properly, at 6:30 AM and 11 AM, respectively.
