Amanda is a Florida native that moved to Virginia in 2004.
She started at Dispatch on the Wintergreen Police Dept. in 2005In 2006 she hit the highway as an Officer.
Went to the Academy in 2007.
Then turned a Deputy at Wintergreen for the Police Dept.
Then she turned a Deputy for the Nelson Sheriff’s Dept.Amanda has been with Amherst County for 8 years of which the previous 5 1/2 years as our Animal Control Officer. That’s fairly a formidable resume.
Next time you see her on the highway in her ACO truck give her a wave to let her know you stand behind her & help her for all she does for our group & animals in want !
We are all of the winners to have her in Amherst County. Again, thanks in your service Amanda!
Amanda has 3 canine companions at residence, 2 are rescues from our shelter! One is a tripod she adopted after discovering her with a sequence hook embedded in her aspect. The third is a senior.
Bedford County:
