The UC Riverside School of Education has established the Black Community Education Promise (BCEP) Scholars Program. The program helps incoming School of Education freshman or switch college students who’re devoted to serving the Black group through schooling upon commencement from UCR.
The objective is to supply BCEP Scholars with monetary and mentoring assist from their first 12 months, or switch 12 months, right through their grasp’s program in schooling at UCR. BCEP Scholars shall be dedicated to serving communities throughout the Inland Empire and/or California.
Research exhibits that Black college students in schooling techniques are disproportionately affected by numerous counterproductive insurance policies and practices. By launching the BCEP Scholars Program, the School of Education will develop educators dedicated to addressing the various challenges that exist in our communities.
Requirements:
- Must be an incoming first-year or switch scholar majoring in schooling;
