The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office made its first arrest for a violation of Dean’s Law, the county’s new Animal Abuse Registry.
Sheriff’s officers have been tipped off to 2 convicted animal abusers who have been illegally in possession of animals this week.
They arrested a 32-year-old man and girl in possession of three canine, 4 cats, one snake, two gerbils and one bearded dragon.
Both suspects have been convicted of animal abuse in 2017.
They have been prohibited from possessing animals for seven years.
