Former President Donald J. Trump known as Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine “genius” and known as President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia “very savvy” for describing the troops aligned on the Ukrainian border as peacekeepers.
Mr. Trump made his remarks on Tuesday on a conservative speak radio present hosted by Clay Travis and Buck Sexton. He praised Mr. Putin — one thing he did repeatedly as president and through his 2016 marketing campaign — as nicely as Mr. Putin’s techniques on Ukraine.
