Overton Extension and the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture shall be conducting a number of agriculture occasions and applications this late summer time and fall. Listed under are the applications deliberate to this point.
•Establishment & renovation of cool season grasses webinar – Fall is approaching and it’s time to be evaluating pastures and hay fields on forage stands. Fall is the right time to re-seed downside areas. If you wish to be taught the right procedures on planting cool season grasses, please register for this free on-line class to be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. The registration hyperlink is tiny.utk.edu/forages.
•Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Training/ Recertification – Planning on collaborating within the Tennessee Ag Enhancement Program this fall? If so, you could have a present BQA card. If you’re a beef or forage producer and have by no means participated within the Tennessee Ag Enhancement Program and have an interest, you could have a BQA coaching. Overton Extension shall be conducting BQA trainings at varied occasions all day Thursday, Aug. 18. Please name Jason at Overton Extension 823-2735 for questions and coaching occasions.
•Upper Cumberland Small Ruminant Conference – Overton Extension together with the Upper Cumberland Extension group shall be conducting the annual Small Ruminant Conference Friday, Sept. 30 at Smith County Ag Complex and Saturday, Oct. 1 at Wilson farms in Cookeville. More data coming quickly.
•Upper Cumberland Extension Team Fall Grazing Summit – Grazing specialist Greg Judy shall be available to debate all points of forages and rotational grazing Saturday, Oct. 1 at Wilson farms Cookeville. More data coming quickly.
